Changes to our Online Appointment Triage System

In line with new NHS England guidelines for all GP practices, from 1st October 2025 Oakwood surgery’s online appointment triage system will be open 8am-6.30pm Monday-Friday.

All patient requests for doctors appointments will be triaged and reviewed within 48 hours, also in line with NHS England’s guidelines.

Patients can complete the online triage tool using the link on our website. For patients unable to access the link themselves, there are self serve touch screens in our church street site’s reception area, or help from our receptionists is available at the reception desk and over the phone.

Please note that patients are also able to contact 111, or visit PC24 at Kings Mill hospital if we have reached full capacity, or if they feel their medical issue needs to be reviewed sooner than the appointment offered.

There are no changes for appointment requests with nurses and health care assistants.
