Surgery Opening Times

The Surgery Reception is normally open from 8.30am to 6.00pm (for urgent matters 8.00am to 6.30pm), Monday to Friday (Wednesday 8.30am - 5.30pm). The Surgery does not open at lunchtime, but we are available for urgent situations which require attention before the Surgery re-opens in the afternoon.

Please note: in order to further improve the quality of care to our patients, the surgery will close one afternoon per month (currently the 4th Wednesday of every month) to participate in educational activities organised by NHS Nottinghamshire County. However, we will continue to provide emergency cover during this time.

Consultations

Doctors are normally seen by appointment. Details of individual doctors' availability can be obtained from reception.

Appointments with the nurses are available from 8.30 through to 7.00pm most days except Wednesday when they are only available until 12 noon.

If you make an appointment but would appreciate a reminder to attend, we can do this by texting you shortly before. See the reception staff to register for this.

Staff Training

The surgery will be closed every fourth Wednesday in each calendar month from 12 noon for staff training.

An EMERGENCY SERVICE will be provided by the out-of-hours service.

If you have an emergency please telephone the surgery and follow the instructions in the recorded message.

Please note: repeat prescriptions and appointment requests cannot be handled by this service. Please wait and contact the surgery when it re-opens. Please help us to help you by only calling the emergency service if you have an URGENT medical problem.

Out Of Hours Cover

A doctor is always available but should only be called out-of-hours for a problem which cannot wait until the next surgery. If you are in doubt, please ring and ask for advice. Telephone 08444 778557; calls are redirected. If for some reason your call does not automatically redirect, please hang up then call 03000 241 112. Outside surgery hours, your call will be handled by an approved deputising service. Alternatively, you may wish to phone NHS Direct if you are not sure if you need to see a doctor. Phone 0845 4647 - your call will be recorded.
