Welcome to Oakwood SurgeryThis website has
been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that we offer. The Surgery Reception is normally open from 8.30am to 6.00pm (for urgent matters 8.00am to 6.30pm), Monday to Friday (Wednesday 8.30am - 5.30pm). The Surgery does not open at lunchtime, but we are available for urgent situations which require attention before the Surgery re-opens in the afternoon. We will extend this cover to 8.00am and 6.30pm, and throughout our lunchtime closure, but only for cases requiring urgent attention. Please
note: in order to further improve the quality of care to our patients, the Surgery
will close one afternoon per month (currently the 4th Wednesday of every month)
to participate in educational activities organised by NHS Nottinghamshire County.
However, we will continue to provide emergency cover during this time. The practice would like to thank the various advertisers who have helped to produce this Website. However, it must be pointed out that the accuracy of any statements cannot be warranted, nor any products or services advertised, be guaranteed or endorsed. Practice News and Notices

Appointments On 1st December 2010, we changed our appointment system following patients' suggestions and comments. These revised arrangements allow routine appointments to be booked up to 4 weeks in advance for the doctor of your choice (subject to availability). Also, we are able to offer telephone consulations with a specific doctor (subject to availablity). In addition, appoinments are available from 8.30am each day - for these appointments patients will be advised on arrival at the Surgery which doctor they will be seeing. We continue to offer late night appointments on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursdays (up to 6.45pm with effect from Monday 18 April 2011). Please help the receptionists by providing your full name, date of birth and telephone number.
As these revised arrangements have been in place for 12 months and we are reviewing our appointments set-up (December 2011) , we are keen to hear how the revised appointments availablity is working for our patients: we welcome patients' comments and feedback either to John Roughton, Asst. Practice Manager, or alternatively via e-mail to John.Roughton@gp-c84016.nhs.uk

It is used internationally for research into disease, drug safety and public health. Patients’ records from hundreds of practices in the UK are made anonymous so that research users cannot identify the patients or the practices.
